Swimsuit USA's Kathy Wheatley is an accomplished entrepreneur who has created numerous modeling/promotion companies and events from the bottom. As the owner of Elite Productions, Inc. and sister company, Tropic Events, Inc. since 1991 and now Swimsuit USA International, she has an extensive background in marketing and business management. Kathy works with companies in Mexico, Europe, Canada, South America, South Africa, Australia, Peru and the United States.

A previous pageant competitor and former Miss Texas Petite has successfully produced many large-scale events, including the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Model Search. As a director, she has produced 13 US and International winners in 17 years working with Hawaiian Tropic.

She produces the Texas Tropics Golf Tournament in its 18th year. She also produces the Swimsuit USA Calendar, and various corporate events. In addition, she was also the founder and creator of Ms. Petite International and Miss Petite Teen International.

She was the director for Miss USA, Miss America, Miss Planet Beach International and Manhunt Male Model Search. In addition, she has been heavily active in her local community, working and volunteering with organizations such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Special Pals and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Swimsuit USA International, Elite Productions and Tropic Events, Inc. qualifies as a Minority Woman owned business.

Kay James

Official Choreographer/Producer

Kay James is the Official Choreographer/Producer of the Miss Swimsuit USA International Model Search, a position she has held since its inception. Her passion for performing began at a very young age and by 16 was working under Prince and hasn’t looked back since. Her love of dance eventually led to choreographing and by fate, joined with Kathy Wheatley creating the opening dance numbers for Ms. Petite International, Miss Petite International and Miss Hawaiian Tropic Texas for over 20 years. In addition to her talent as a dancer/choreographer, she is also a Registered Nurse, wife and mom to a beautiful daughter who has traveled the world with her as her assistant and competed in Swimsuit USA. Kay resides in Sugar Land,Texas where she was born and raised. Her belief….”Beauty does NOT mean you have no brains”! Jonathan Voor

Director of Marketing, Special Events, Model Recruitment and Professional Photographer

Jonathan Voor is a highly experienced professional photographer with over a decade of experience in the industry. He is a member of The Professional Photographers Association of America and has a keen eye for capturing stunning imagery that sets him apart from his peers. His professionalism and attention to detail have earned him a reputation as a skilled and reliable photographer, marketer, event planner, and recruitment manager.

As the Marketing Manager for Swimsuit USA International Model Search since 2017, Jonathan has been instrumental in growing and increasing the visibility of all social media accounts. He has also organized professional calendar and content creation photoshoots for various marketing campaigns.

As an Event Coordinator, he has organized numerous events, including photo-shootouts, model searches, and beauty pageants at the local, regional, national, and international levels. His track record of success with such events has directly impacted the growth of Swimsuit USA in recent years.

Additionally, as head of recruitment, he has plays a critical role in model outreach and actively sources top modeling talent for participation. He has also made significant contributions to developing sponsorship opportunities, VIP outreach, and engaging with various stakeholders.

Jonathan's dedication to the image of the brand has been crucial to our success. His positive energy and kindness towards everyone is central to creating the love and energy that is Swimsuit USA!

Barbara A. Warren

Caribbean Event & Business Liaison

Barbara A. Warren brings a unique blend of Caribbean roots, international entertainment, pageantry, broadcasting, public relations, and luxury event production to her role as Caribbean Event & Business Liaison for the Swimsuit USA International Model Search World Finals, returning to the Dominican Republic October 18–25, 2026.
Her connection to beauty and pageantry originates with more than ten years producing and running Hawaiian Tropic International contests throughout the Caribbean, including helping bring a Caribbean contestant to First Runner-Up internationally. Through Lady B Productions in Saint Martin, Barbara produced and hosted high-profile events, conferences, and launches for luxury brands, real estate developments, artists, and fashion. She was the host and executive producer of *Bon Appétit with Lady B, host of What’s Up Saint Martin, and the on-air voice of Radio Calypso — Hits & Sun. She also served as PR Chairperson for the Heineken Regatta, one of the Caribbean’s premier international sailing events, and has MC’d numerous international events. Her entertainment background also includes being a regular on *American Bandstand.
Today, Barbara has a successful real estate career in the Dominican Republic through BuyWithBarbara.com, under eXp and The Lit Team, helping international clients discover and invest in opportunities throughout the country.
